We live right down the street from the Grand River Park/river access. We just moved here and are interested in going kayaking. If we left our car at this park, where would you suggest starting our journey at, so we can end up here? Or if we started here, how long till we get to 68th street stop?

Thank you for your interest. I would suggest parking at the spaces near the dock/boat launch. I would launch from that point. The tour from there to the 68 Avenue point lasts about 2 1/2 hours to three hours at a leisurely paddle. I was just on that route about two weeks ago. If you would like to talk more about the tour, or you would like to go kayaking, please call me at 616-432-4398 or e-mail me at grkandc@gmail.com. Thanks

Hi, I have a question about a group kayak/canoe trip. We are planning to go on September 2. How many kayaks and canoes will you have available that day? And how many people are you able to transport back to their cars?

    Thank you!

      Hello Jenny,
Our total inventory is 8 kayaks and 4 canoes. GRK and C uses a van for 8 passengers. Our schedule starts launching kayaks, and one and a half hours later we launch canoes and then another 1 1/2 hour later, kayaks. The tour from Ah Nab Awen park to Indian mounds road point takes about 2 1/2 hours. The extra half hour is for loading from the pick up point, driving back up river and unloading to the launch point. Alternate arrangements can be made if you have a group larger than eight people.
Please call 616-528-4077 so that we may serve you best.
